Also Give Thanks in Times of Tribulation

The economy of our country, as well as around the globe, looks like it is going down the tubes. Our saved brothers and sisters are being persecuted, tortured and killed throughout the world. Our media gives more attention to atheists and other non-believers than it does to truth and morality. We have a president-elect whom I believe is NOT a saved child of God because of his choices and in his own words, “I am not sure if I am going to Heaven or not…” If he was truly saved, he would know without a doubt. I pray daily that God will open Mr. and Mrs. Obama’s eyes to the reality that they do, in fact, need to repent of their sin and turn to Jesus as their savior the same as the rest of us. They must come to the truth that there is NO other way to Heaven. When that happens, I, for one, will have fewer concerns about Obama being our president.

In these very trying times, it is easy for God’s children to become cynical, doubting, negative, and discouraged. But, God’s Word encourages us to be thankful in all things, Ephesians 5:20 “giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This scripture is most fitting for God’s elect in these present times: 2 Corinthians 4:8, 9, 15-18 “8. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9. persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed 15. For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God. 16. Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18. while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

With all of its current challenges, it is my opinion that the United States of America is still by far the best country in which to live in all the world. Perhaps we ought to be thankful that things are coming to pass according to God’s Will and getting us closer to His return. He is on His throne and ultimately in control of all things!!

“Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bind Satan from Barack Obama in the name of and through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that he may come to the knowledge and acceptance of your saving grace. I also ask you to place a hedge of thorns around Barack Obama so that those with wrong infuences will lose interest and leave. AMEN”
