Obama the Anti-Christ or False Prophet?

It is disgusting that many Americans will vote for Barack Obama based on his skin color or just because he is a democrat. It is obvious that they do not consider or care about what the man really stands for. He spent 20 years in a church that preached hate for America and white people. Now, he claims to be a ‘Christian’ to try to gain evangelical votes. He has no idea what it really means to be a Christian: to be absolved of our sins by our savior, Jesus Christ, and to become Christ-like. Who can tell me that Christ thinks it is okay to abort babies and legalize homosexual marriage? This man does not know God’s Word, but you can bet he knows the Koran.

The net is overflowing with thoughts and opinions about whether Obama is truly a Christian. I read one blog post that suggested that he is the Abomination of the ‘end times’ because, as described in the Bible, he is an Arab and in his 40s. I will see what time shows before I make that assumption. If he is, then it tells me that God’s plans are falling right into place and Jesus will be back for us soon.

I do not believe that Obama is truly saved mostly because of how he votes on the issues. Add to that some of his own statements such as, there are many ‘paths’ to the same place proves he is not saved. Any Christian who reads his/her Bible knows that that place is Heaven, and if we do not realize our sin and receive Jesus as our savior, we WILL go to hell. Obama does not believe anyone is going to hell and he is not sure if he will go to Heaven.

I read an article by Cal Thomas, “OBAMA IS NO JOSHUA” that shares many facts about Mr. Obama’s beliefs. It shares Barack telling of him tucking his children in at night and just knowing he is passing on good values to them, that’s a little piece of Heaven. Is that all he knows about Heaven? If it is, he is truly lost. My heart aches at the thought that these innocent children are not being taught the true and only way to salvation as Jesus stated in John 14:6 - “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” KJV

The Day of Judgment will be a tremendously sad day for all True Christians; when we will see those who reject Christ cast into hell. If Barack Obama were really a Christain, he would make sure that he, as well as his precious offspring will not be sent to eternal torment.

When You Thought I Wasn’t Looking

I received the original of this in an email; the author is unknown. I believe it is a message every adult must read. Children are watching us and doing as we do, not as we say. Each of us, parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, friend has some influence in the life of a child.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn’t feel good, and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it’s all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I learned most of life’s lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, “Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn’t looking.

LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT.

‘Sow an act, you reap a habit…Sow a habit, you reap a character…

Sow a character, you reap a destiny’

Righteous Indignation Every Christian Should Feel!

I must say that I am not much surprised at the recent gay marriage atrocities in California. It is no wonder that so many of the intelligent/wise people are leaving that state every day. I recently met a family who moved here from California because they feel like the liberals are taking over and making the state a place where they do not want to raise a family. They feel the morals they try to instill in their children will be undone by the liberal society there. It is, for the most part, anything goes.

What makes my blood boil though, is people who profess to be followers of Jesus Christ, but are so very tolerant of such sin as homosexuality and gay marriage. I am not saying that it is up to us to judge these people for their sin, God will do that. I do not believe they were born this way. I do not hate them, I hate the sin of homosexuality. And it is sin. Anyone who truly spends time in God’s Word knows this. I do pray for them to become awakened to the true will of God. Our Heavenly Father did not create men to lay with men, nor women to lay with women.

Leviticus 18:22 - “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” This did not change when Jesus came to earth. He said He did not come to change the law, but to fulfill it.

I believe Christians are as much responsible to stand up for what is good and right as anyone, perhaps even more so. Too many Christians cannot find it in themselves to take a stand against the tolerance for sin that is growing in our country. They seem to have the attitude of, “I don’t care what other people do, everyone can do their own thing and I can do mine…” I believe that is what Jesus preached about as “being on the fence” or “in the middle of the road”. He would rather have us either “hot or cold”.

Many of today’s churches are teaching and practicing tolerance of sin. This is a major reason why our country is losing the moral values that it was built on. Christians who are truly growing in their walk with God are given discernment of right and wrong from the Holy Spirit. There is no valid reason why true Christians should have a problem taking a stand for what is truly good and right. It is this attitude of permissiveness and self-chosen ignorance that has led to such moral decline that our children can no longer pray in school.

I am totally amazed when I hear people say they do not understand how it happened that prayer was banned from our schools. Duh, where were all the Christian voters when it started? I wonder what these on the fence Christians will say when legalized gay marriage has repercussions on our Godly family life and values. Whatever happened to the “state of holy matrimony and the sanctity of marriage”? It is quickly becoming a value of the past.

Is this just another ’sign of the times’? “Jehovah God, please send your Son back to us soon.”

Let Us Remember Them Every Day

Well, another Memorial Day has come and gone. We have given quiet thought and gratitude to those who gave up their lives, or are serving, for our freedoms and safety. But I am wondering why not think of them every day, or nearly every day, why just one day a year. In all probability, many of us do remember and pray for them daily. It is my belief that our military are the true definition of heroes - they sacrifice themselves for others. Their families sacrifice precious time with them. That is what true heroes do, and they deserve more than just one day a year in their honor.

John 15:13 KJV - “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

That is exactly what PFC Ross McGinnis did in Iraq on December 4, 2006. While on watch in his gunner’s hatch, a grenade zipped past him and into a truck with four of his fellow soldiers inside. Without even a thought for his own safety, McGinnis yelled a warning to his friends and threw himself onto the grenade. He took the full impact and was killed immediately. He gave his life for his friends - it makes me remember another who came to give up His life for a world full of sinners.

Jesus, PFC Ross McGinnis, and many others like them are true heroes. Let’s remember them more often than once a year.

Loaves and Fishes, Oh My!

“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish.” John 6:9

I wonder how the miracle feeding of the multitudes would have unfolded if someone else had been holding the basket of food. An adult, accustomed to surviving in a world of scarcity, might never have handed over his family’s dinner—not even to the miracle worker from Nazareth. It’s one thing to ask for a miracle, it’s another to put yourself on the line for it.

The child, though, hadn’t yet learned to measure life by what he didn’t have and so he willingly handed over the food, trusting that where there was some, there could be more.

The things we can learn from children!

The Gospel makes it sound easy, but we know how hard it is to offer up everything we have–how hard it is to trust that if we give what we have, God will make up the difference. We are, after all, adults and we know that there is never enough time, money or volunteers. We grow weary of “doing without” and stop trying to “do with.” We forget that with God, all things are possible and start believing that without money, time or resources all things are impossible. Worse, we start thinking of what we can do and stop asking what God can do with us.

I love the story of the loaves and the fishes because it calls us to task for all these things. We are reminded that Christ calls us to a life of abundance. Perhaps the real miracle of this story isn’t just that Jesus fed the multitudes, but that one act of faith has fed generations upon generations. I pray that we can do the same; may we live lives of such extravagant faith that we set an example for those that follow in our footsteps.

My sweet precious Goddaughter, who is now an ordained minister, is definitely answering God’s call on her life. The above is from her site Loaves and Fishes:

Fallen Angels

I have heard it many times, and I have been known to ask it myself? “How could a loving God allow the evil atrocities that happen in our world?” We have to realize that there are two forces in this world - one is good and one is evil. God is the good and Satan is the evil. Okay, didn’t God create everything and everyone, including Satan? He most certainly did, but God did not create the evil Satan.

First of all, God did create all the angels. When he was in Heaven, Satan’s name was Lucifer, which means ’star of the morning’. He was a very high-ranking angel of perfection, known for his wisdom and beauty; one of God’s most beautiful angels. He became very prideful of his great beauty and bored with worshiping God. He wanted to be like God and to be worshiped, so he rebelled against God. The consequence of his rebellion was that he was cast out of Heaven to earth. He took one-third of God’s angels with him. He and his angels are still in rebellion against God.

After Lucifer’s rebellion, his name became Satan which means ‘accuser’, that is what he is now. He and his minions walk to and fro through the earth accusing and trying to destroy people, especially God’s children; His church.

I like how Pastor Greg of Harvest Ministries sums this up:

“It is amazing to think that angels turned against God. After all, apart from humanity, who has greater privilege than angels? Certainly they have been given a wonderful privilege to have access to the very throne of God and worship before Him. Yet there was a major angelic rebellion.

Here is the warning for us today: Even the angels are facing judgment because they rebelled against God, reminding us of the danger of thinking we can use the grace of God as a license for sin. The Bible cautions us that just because we know what is right and just because we have been taught in the truth does not mean that we are incapable of rebelling against God. The angels rebelled and faced God’s judgment. And if we rebel, we will face His judgment as well.”

Not Paul Harvey, But…!

The following excerpt has been circulating the internet in form of email since the year 2000. Credit for the writing is being given to Paul Harvey, but according to Snopes Urban Legends, most of it was taken from Nick Gholson’s article “Taking Offense at Prayer? God help us”, September 5, 1999. Gholson is a sports writer for the Times Record News in Wichita Falls, Texas. Other unknown author/authors have added to this email.

It really does not matter to me who wrote this. I must say I totally agree and believe more of us need to get up off our butts and take a stand to make things right in our country:

“I don’t believe in Santa Claus, but I’m not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I don’t agree with Darwin, but I didn’t go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his Theory of Evolution.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what’s the big deal? It’s not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts. They’re just talking to a God they believe in and asking Him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.

But it’s a Christian prayer, some will argue. Yes, and this is the United States of America, a country founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect–somebody chanting Hare Krishna?

If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.

If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.

If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.

And I wouldn’t be offended. It wouldn’t bother me one bit. When in Rome…

But what about the atheists? Is another argument. What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We’re not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that’s asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer!

Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don’t think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world’s foundations.

Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.

God, help us. And if that sentence offends you, well, just sue me. The silent majority has been silent too long. It’s time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard, that the vast majority doesn’t care what they want. It is time that the majority rules! It’s time we tell them, ‘You don’t have to pray; you don’t have to say the pledge of allegiance; you don’t have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!’

God bless us one and all…, God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all. God bless our servicemen and women who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.

Let’s make 2008 the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions…And our military forces come home from all the wars.

Keep looking up.

ADDENDUM: IN AMERICA IT IS ~~~ IN GOD WE STILL TRUST!!

Unconditionally

I have always told my children that I love them “no matter what”. To me that means I will love them unconditionally. The dictionary defines unconditional as, “not conditional; not modified or restricted by reservations; not contingent; not determined or influenced by someone or something else.”

As our children grow and make more and more decisions for themselves, we find that we do not agree with some of those decisions. Do we become judgmental by saying things like, “Didn’t I teach you better than that? I cannot believe you would do that!” Those are pretty unforgiving words, are they not? What happened to the “no matter what” we promised from day one?

I have raised two daughters, and am raising a grandson. I will stick by “no matter what till the day I die.” And believe me, they have made some choices that have totally taken me by surprise and shocked me to tears. They have felt my disappointment, but not my condemnation.

In some instances I have had to ask myself, “What if I were in their position right now? Might I consider the same solution? How can I say for sure, if I have never been faced with that choice?” The unconditional love has made sure of an open door for my children and grandchildren to know that they can come to me and receive the best kind of love there is. I do let them know when I disagree with a choice they make, but I do not judge or punish them. As adults they control their decisions and face their consequences. I have also seen them punish themselves more than I ever could.

Signs of Revival?

When we look around our world today and see the scary things happening, even the supposed impending recession in our own economy, it can be very easy to become discouraged and afraid.

Isaiah 59:19 says, “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” Here is some good news: when things are really wicked and dark, you can expect God to do something.

So, when I see the way things are going, I begin praying and believing for God to do a great work in our time.

Are we seeing signs of revival? All historical revivals had five similar attributes:

  • They all began in a time of internal depression and moral suffering
  • They usually began with one person that God would work through, perhaps someone who prayed or preached
  • All were built on God’s Word being prophesied, boldly taught, and obeyed
  • Every one of them made people aware of their sinful nature and the need for repentance
  • Each one resulted in a change in the culture and moral climate

When we forget God, it is never long before a moral collapse in our civilization. On the other hand, when we are obedient and doing God’s will, it strongly effects our future and creates positive change.

What has he been up to? You ask.

Is anyone wondering what Judge Roy Moore, from Alabama, has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall? That’s right - Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama? I received the following poem they say that Judge Moore wrote. It sums it up quite well, don’t you think?

“America the beautiful, or so you used to be. Land of the Pilgrims’ pride; I’m glad they’ll never see. Babies piled in dumpsters, abortion on demand, Oh, sweet land of liberty; your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly poisoned by cocaine, choosing to indulge their lusts, when God said abstain. From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away from the teaching of God’s love and a need to always pray.

We’ve kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown. When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne. We’ve voted in a government that’s rotting at the core, appointing Godless judges; who throw reason out the door, too soft to place a killer in a well-deserved tomb, but brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.

You think that God’s not angry that our land’s a moral slum? How much longer will He wait before His judgment comes? How are we to face our God, from Whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children, will humbly turn and pray; seek His holy face and mend our evil way: Then God will hear from Heaven; and forgive us of our sins, He’ll heal our sickly land and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful, if you don’t - then you will see, a sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from Thee.”

~~Judge Roy Moore~~
